Privacy Policy for Froggy Frosh
Last updated: 8 November 2026
Froggy Frosh is developed by Doppelpixel.
The short version
Froggy Frosh has no accounts and collects no personal data for itself. It goes online for two things:
- Ads, from Google AdMob. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland only after you have been asked for consent. See "Advertising" below.
- Race, where you race a friend live. It sends what a race needs, through a relay server that stores nothing, and only when you start a race yourself.
The game itself works without a connection; you just get no ads and no races.
What the game keeps on your device
The game saves the following on your own device:
- your best score and your statistics (rounds played, total score, deaths)
- which character you have selected and which ones you have unlocked
- your settings (music, sound effects, vibration, hitbox rings)
This stays on your phone and is never sent to us. If backups are turned on in your phone's settings, Android may include it in your device backup to your Google account, so it can come back on a new phone. That backup is handled by Google under your Google account, not by us.
Races with a friend
Nothing in this section happens unless you open Race and create or join a room.
When you do, the game connects to a relay server that passes messages between the two players in a race. The relay runs on Cloudflare Workers, operated by Cloudflare, Inc., on our behalf.
What is sent during a race:
- the room code
- the race course (where the platforms are)
- your score while you race, and your final score
- your race name: one the game makes up for you, such as "Swift Frog", or one you type yourself (3 to 12 letters or numbers). It is saved on your device so a friend sees the same name next time; you can change it in the race screen at any time. Please do not use your real name if you would rather not share it.
- which character you are playing as, and where your frog lands during the race, so the other player can see it as a ghost
What is not sent: an account, contact details, your device's identifiers, your location, your statistics or your solo best score. There is no chat; the race name is the only text the other player ever sees from you.
The relay stores none of this. A room exists only while both players are connected and is gone when one of them leaves. The other player sees your race name, your frog and your score, never your IP address.
To deliver the connection, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical connection data such as your IP address, and may use it to protect its network, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy: https://www.cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/
The connection is encrypted. The legal basis for this processing is that it is needed to provide the race you asked for (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
Advertising
The game shows ads from Google AdMob, operated by Google: a single banner at the bottom of the menu and of the screen after a run. There are no full-screen ads, and no ads while you are playing or in a race.
To show ads, Google receives information from your device such as your advertising ID, your IP address and basic device details, and uses it as described in its policy: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
In the EU, the UK and Switzerland the game asks for your consent before any ad is requested, using Google's consent form. You can change your choice at any time under Settings, Credits, AD PRIVACY. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings.
What the game does not do
- It does not collect personal information for itself.
- It does not use analytics, tracking, or crash reporting of its own.
- It does not require an account or a sign-in.
- It does not go online for anything but ads and the races you start.
Children
Froggy Frosh collects no personal data from anyone, including children under 13. Races have no chat and no profiles. The only text one player sees from the other is a short race name, limited to plain letters and numbers and checked for rude words on the phone that shows it.
Changes to this policy
If a future version adds something else that handles data, such as Google Play Games achievements or saved games in the cloud, this policy will be updated before that version is published, and the date at the top will change.
